文の途中に出てくる関係代名詞や、不定詞の名詞的用法などの文法にも気を付けて、読んでみてください。

 Making Friends

Whenever people move to another city or even another country, they’re faced with the challenge of making new friends. Of course, the first thing that is needed is to be around other people. This is easier if you are attending a school. If not, you might want to join a club or social group. This could include places such as a fitness club or even a book reading club at a library. By joining a group or club you would be around people with a common interest which would be a good topic for conversation. Talking about hobbies is a good way to start a conversation. Other good topics to talk about are music, sports or movies. Usually it’s not best to ask a lot of personal questions to people you have known only for a short time. However it’s good to ask a lot of follow-up questions to keep a conversation going. For example, if you’re talking about movies, you can ask questions such as “Who’s your favorite actor?”, “What kind of movies do you like?”, and “Is there a good movie theatre around here that you can recommend?”. Most all. Don’t be shy.

Weddings in Iowa, America

Traditionally most weddings in our area would be held in a church, but these days outdoor weddings are becoming popular. Since Iowa has mostly farming communities, there is a lot beautiful outdoor space to take advantage of. Maybe you’ve seen gorgeous outdoor weddings in the movies, but the outdoor weddings in our area, Iowa, a little more simple with most of the decorating and food preparation done by family, friends and other members of the community. Also, when you think of a fancy American wedding you might imagine seeing the bride and groom riding in an expensive limousine or a horse drawn carriage, but in Iowa things take on a country twist and you see the wedding couple in a cart pulled by draft horses, in the back of pick-up trucks or even on a wagon pulled by a tractor. So if you get the chance to attend a wedding in Iowa in June, you might get to see a wedding event like nowhere else.

Summer festival in my hometown

Do you like going to festivals?
There are a lot of fun and exciting festivals one can attend in Japan in summer. I really enjoy trying many different kinds of local food and observing fascinating Japanese customs whenever I go to those festivals here!
However, back in my hometown, Moscow, we sometimes have interesting summer festivals, too! This summer, many people are coming to the park near my home to enjoy the annual art festival there.

Minneapolis Airport

I recently had to make a trip to my home country of the United States. My home is in north east Iowa, so I needed to fly into the nearest major airport which is the Minneapolis/Saint Paul Airport in the state of Minnesota.
